CATHOLIC CHURCH: enter the courtyard of the St Francis-Xavier Catholic Church in the municipality of Paea. This magnificent stone church was built in 1855. You may also meet the guardian of the place, a sweet lady with a strong personality!
MARAE ARAHURAHU: the most beautiful and extensive marae of Tahiti is divided into several platforms and regularly hosts traditional dances shows and ceremonies. This majestic place at the foot of the mountain is surrounded by lush vegetation. Toilets available at this stop.
TAHARUU BLACK SAND BEACH: long black sand beach in the municipality of Papara, very frequented by the surfers with a view on the impressive relief of the island ... The mouth of the Taharuu river also attracts families who come to swim in the fresh water. A small restaurant serving drinks is available on site and is open from Tuesday to Sunday.
NATURAL WATER SOURCE: stop by a natural water spring where local people come to stock up drinking water.
STOP AT MAURITIO?S: stop for a drink at this local family beach house located in the municipality of Papeari.
Lunch at LA PLAGE DE MAUI restaurant: this small restaurant is well known for its local fresh fish dishes. Located along a nice little white sand beach, enjoy your meal as well as the beautiful on the lagoon (lunch supplement not included in the tour rate, to be paid on spot).
VAIPAHI GARDEN: this beautiful "Water garden" after its Tahitian name, gather many exotic plants and trees. It is also crossed by streams, a small lake and you can discover a waterfall. Follow your guide through the "porcelain roses", bamboo trees and other tropical plants. Souvenir shop and season fruits available on site. Toilets available at this stop.
VAIMA SPRING: the Vaima river is one of the favorite places of local people who come refresh themselves and swim in this pure water. Walk along the river to discover a little ?private bath? and a natural "jacuzzi". The river is also home to some eels that you may be lucky enough to see.
MONOÏ FACTORY: this factory supplies many large European cosmetic groups. Discover the process of making this oil with the sweet fragrance of tiare with your guide and visit the laboratory where the different ingredients of the cosmetics are assembled for the local market. A shop is available on site, let yourself be tempted by a scrub, a massage oil or a body lotion with sweet fragrances.
MARA?A GROTTO: the caves of Mara'a are nestled at the foot of the mountain. Surrounded by lush vegetation, they are filled with a freshwater lake. You will visit the largest of the 3 caves.
